The Waterlefe Master Property Owners’ Association (MPOA) is a not-for-profit FL Corporation governed by the FL Homeowners’ Association Act, FL Statute 720. This type of organization is set up to help run, manage, and maintain a neighborhood, building, or collective of homes. In the case of Waterlefe, Covenant compliance administration falls under the MPOA, and we also manage/maintain The River Club facilities (including Fitness Center, Fitness Studio, dining rooms/restaurant/bar, Tiki Bar, Library, and Swimming Pool), The Pointe (including kayak racks, picnic pavilion, playground, and lookout tower), the Boat Lift, and the Viewing Pier. The Community Development District (CDD) is a quasi-government body governed by the FL Sunshine Law, FL Statute 190. The Waterlefe CDD manages/maintains the community’s main entry Gate House and all access gates (except The Shores section), Golf Club and Course, Grille Room, Shank Shack food truck (waterlefegolfandriverclub.com), roads, landscaping, ponds, canals, and access gates. Manatee County is located on Florida’s breathtaking Gulf Coast. It is bordered by Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg to the north, Hardee and DeSoto counties to the east, and Sarasota to the south. The beautiful beaches of Anna Maria Island fade into the Gulf of Mexico to the west. The county manages/maintains Waterlefe’s water, sewer, and trash/recycling/yard waste pick-up. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a group of Manatee County-trained, resident volunteers within the community who can offer [limited] assistance/guidance to neighbors in the event of an emergency such as a hurricane, and if 911 emergency responders are not immediately available.
